Lurking in the shallows, under the cities deep, lies a man who was once among the living streets. Looming guilt of theft had found the man and forced him deep under the city where the sewage flows. In a point of desperation, forced away from his family, the poor disheveled man was approached by two rats who were skittering in tandem toward him. One rat radiated with a warm light granting warmth and comfort, while the other radiated with a deep maroon light emanating a feeling of regret and hope. The rats run between the man’s legs and then began to circle around his feet. The man on the verge of starvation and deep sorrow had seemed to find a sense of meaning looking at the two circling rats when they suddenly ran out into the clearing of the cistern. The rats then become blurry and then a flash reveals one right radiating a swirling combination of the lights. The man in desperation reached out to the rats feeling a promise of friendship and redemption. A promise to see his family again. But their promises are never fair. Their promises never lead to happy endings. The man turned into a wererat through his great desperation. I warn you all in moments of great desperation to avoid those promises that may claim your life to a curse.
